Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We will be holding Tithing Declaration on Sundays. I would like to invite each of you to come in so that you may have an opportunity to make a declaration to the Lord regarding the payment of your tithes. This will be a great opportunity for me to spend a few minutes with each family.
Please remember that it is not necessary to pay all of your tithing by the time of your appointment. Rather, this is a time for you to make a declaration to the Lord about your tithing status for this year.
Please use the link below to sign up for a time that is convenient for you. If you need assistance in making an appointment, feel free to reach out to Morgan Zollinger at 703-371-3743.

Youth & Parents — September 23 Combined Activity!
We have something special planned for our combined youth activity on September 23 at 7:00 PM at the Ward building, and we’d love to have every youth there!
That night, each youth will receive a missionary companion, learn what they’ll be doing together, and get ready for a missionary experience coming soon. We’ll have some fun, learn together, and of course have refreshments!
For the whole ward: In the weeks following, our youth missionary companionships will be reaching out to families in the ward to schedule short visits where they can practice teaching a gospel message. Your family may get a call! We’ll share more details as we get closer.
Youth — come September 23 to find out who your companion is and what your mission will be!
“Americans Stand Ready”
When Americans take steps to prepare for disasters and keep their families safe, every neighborhood and community is more resilient. This year’s focus encourages citizen resourcefulness and civic responsibility. Americans can take pride in their ability to protect themselves and their families and work together to recover from disasters.
American’s stand ready to:
· Uphold our patriotic duty: When individuals are prepared and self-reliant, we can bolster the work our brave first responders do to help people on their worst day.
· Protect our family and friends: We know best how to keep our loved ones safe when things go wrong.
· Help our communities: Taking a proactive approach to get your community ready contributes to our nation’s resilience.
September Recommended Prep Activity—Add items for warmth to your personal disaster supply kits, such as blankets, poncho/raincoat, stormproof matches, warm socks, etc.
September Group Buy—UCO Stormproof Match Kit
Kit has 25 windproof and waterproof matches in an orange waterproof case with 2 additional strikers. Wooden match sticks are 2.75” (7 cm) long with a wick coating that burns around 15 seconds. They light consistently even in driving rain, heavy winds, or falling snow. The heavy-duty, durable, ABS plastic case floats if dropped and keeps contents dry with its screw-top lid and rubber O-ring. The molded vertical ribbing provides a no-slip grip for cold or wet conditions. A small piece of cotton keeps matches from rubbing together inside the case. The striker on the outside of the container can be replaced if worn or wet (can be dried and used again) with one of the 2 additional strikers found inside the case. Comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Kit is a compact 3” x 2” x 2” and weighs only 1.7 oz.
